We are proud to offer occasional, specialized veterinary services through our certified veterinarian on staff, Dr. Kathryn Herin. Dr. Herin is a certified mixed animal veterinarian fully licensed to practice in Texas, with experience supporting all forms of animals found on a Texas ranch, from companion pets to large livestock. Her expertise provides our clients with critical health support, ensuring your management goals are supported by sound veterinary science.

Dr. Herin's services are primarily focused on state-wide consultation, planning, and management strategy. Local, hands-on care is generally routed through her primary clinic.

These services are available state-wide, though travel costs from Bandera, TX will be incurred and increase with distance. Her expertise provides our clients with critical health support, ensuring your management goals are supported by sound veterinary science.

• Farm & Herd Animal Wellness: Individualized consultation on general health, preventive care, and nutrition questions for your cattle, horses, and other farm animals. Dr. Herin has a particular passion for working with goats and sheep, designing preventative health and management strategies for individual animals and small livestock herds.

• Pregnancy Checks (Cattle/Sheep/Goat Herds): Scheduling and conducting herd-level pregnancy checks to optimize breeding cycles and management strategies for beef and dairy operations.

• Vaccinations & Wellness Checks: Scheduling and conducting essential vaccinations and routine wellness exams for farm and herd animals.

• Compliance & Certification: Issuance of health certificates and clean bills of health necessary for the sale or transport of show animals and livestock.

• Livestock Guardian Dog (LGD) Support: Full exams, wellness checks, and preventive care for the guardian dogs protecting your valuable livestock.

• Deer Herd Management Consultation: We provide veterinary insight into deer herd health, disease monitoring, and non-lethal management practices designed to maintain a robust, healthy wildlife population on your property.

Dr. Herin also offers personalized services for clients within the immediate Bandera, TX area:

• House Calls: Available for scheduled veterinary house calls and routine checks for farm animals.

• Compassionate End-of-Life Services: Providing scheduled, humane euthanasia for companion animals and livestock on site.

• Pet Sitting & Farm Checks: Available for personalized house calls and pet-sitting services.
